Picking Our First Blueberries

We bought this blueberry bush as a small plant and it finally produced some ripe berries after having it for about 3-4 months. (three blueberries to be exact but that's still dope af). According to my research, some blueberries start producing after one to two years but it typically takes two (2) to three (3) years and full production happening after five (5) to six (6) years. So I'm assuming the bush we bought is about one to two years old. The flavor was so fresh and while only one was ripe, it was miles ahead of the grocery store blueberries. I don't want to go back to those mushy ass berries, no lie and I can't wait to be able to pick and eat straight off of the bush!

This blueberry bush is actually one of many manifestation plants that I have. I bought it with the confidence that by the time it gets to full production age, we'll be in a place that has way more yard space and that it'll be our own home. Sometimes it feels impossible especially in the times we are in but I'm doing my best to choose optimism while working towards this goal. I daydream about it often and I have to make it happen for myself and more importantly, my baby. Until then, I'm enjoying the joy of my baby and the journey to get there. I have an INSTAGRAM and a YOUTUBE if you want to come along the journey with me!

Until next time,

B
